On Friday, September 13th, PS #16 celebrated the grand re-opening of their newly renovated Main Building!
The event kicked off with an assembly hosted by 5th-grader Karolina Luzung, featuring speeches from former Student Council members, Principal Blanca Jackson, Superintendent Dr. Norma Fernandez, and Board President De’Jon Morris.
After the ribbon-cutting, student ambassadors gave tours, and the day ended with an exciting “Race for the Goal” STEM car competition, inspired by NASCAR. Dr. Fernandez started the race and awarded the first place car from Room 303, driven by Ahaan, Atharv, Inay, and Oliver.
