Two exceptional high school juniors, Yara Alshahed and Arsh Shah, from William L. Dickinson High School, have recently distinguished themselves by participating in the prestigious Rutgers University Summer Program on Fundamental Physics. This competitive program, which aims to immerse students in advanced topics in physics, selected only 25 participants out of over 200 applicants from across the state of New Jersey, making Yara and Arsh's acceptance a remarkable achievement.
During the closing ceremonies, the students collaborated to deliver a comprehensive group presentation, showcasing the culmination of their research and learning experiences from the program. Yara Alshahed captivated the audience with her insightful presentation on Black Holes, shedding light on the complexities of these mysterious cosmic phenomena. Arsh Shah delivered an engaging presentation on Neutrinos, the elusive and enigmatic subatomic particles.
The participation of Yara and Arsh in this program not only highlights their exceptional academic abilities but also their dedication to advancing their understanding of fundamental physics.
