About Us

The Jersey City Public Schools is a comprehensive community public school district located in Jersey City, in Hudson County, New Jersey, United States. Rooted in rich history, the Jersey City Board of Education continues to offer new opportunities to meet the rapidly growing diverse population in the city. Our vision is to build a new educational community that provides a world-class education for every child in Jersey City.

The Superintendent's goals for the 2025-26 school year for students are to prioritize keeping violence down, improving interpersonal and social skills, and better academics. The school will also target social media and help kids understand how “words matter.”
“Mission Forward” is the school’s new goal which will push students to “Go for the gold at all times” in helping to improve test scores and make them more graduation ready.
